VHS Tape Recycling with Campus Sustainability!

Our office operates a number of recycling initiatives each year and this time we need your help recycling BGSU's excess VHS tapes! Each one contains over 1,000 feet of tape reel and plastics that can leech toxic metals into the environment when trashed. Given we have multiple bins of them, you will be making a significant impact on BGSU's waste reduction efforts. To do this, you'll dismantle the tapes using drills and screwdrivers, separate materials, and enjoy socializing at the same time. We'll provide all of the tools. This event takes place in the back of the BGSU Campus ReStore, located in the McDonald Hall Annex just inside the sliding doors to the long glass hallway between Lot J and the dead-end road by McDonald/Life Sciences.
