Campus Tree Planting for Earth Month

Listed by BGSU Office of Campus Sustainability

About

Join us in celebrating Earth Month at BGSU by making a lasting impact on our campus! On Wednesday, April 8th, from 1:00–2:15 PM, we will be planting new trees at BGSU to enhance our urban forest, strengthen local ecosystems, and promote a healthier environment. The meeting location is near Lot 29, which is southeast of the Kreischer Basketball Courts, along the sidewalk that runs along the big grassy field.

Trees do more than provide beauty—they help cool our campus, improve air quality, and reduce stormwater runoff, making them vital for a more sustainable future. They also support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, helping to preserve biodiversity right here at BGSU. By participating, you’re not only giving back to the environment but also leaving a legacy that will benefit future generations of Falcons.

📍 Meeting Location:
Lot 29. Look for a silver Campus Operations truck with tools nearby.

🌱 How You Can Help:
You’ll work in teams to plant trees, and we’ll provide all equipment, guidance, and motivation! No experience is necessary—just a willingness to dig in and make a difference.

If you sign up, please commit to attending—tree planting is a team effort, and every pair of hands makes a difference! Let’s plant the future together. 🌎🌳
