About
The Physics program provides scientific skills in experimental investigation and theoretical understanding of the properties of matter and energy and the laws that govern them. BGSU’s Bachelor of Science in physics readies students for graduate school and a career in academia, and for a career in industry. The Astronomy minor can be paired with a Physics BS to prepare a student for graduate school in Astrophysics. The Society of Physics Students is a club aimed at promoting interest in excitement in physics and astronomy. The department does public outreach through the BGSU Planetarium and Observatory, and through programs with K-12 schools in the area.
