We would love to talk to you about an exciting volunteer opportunity! The Rhode Island Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is looking to fill our Sponsorship Chair role.

In this role, you will build relationships with prospective and existing corporate and community sponsors for PurpleStride Rhode Island, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer. This role will also work with other members of the PurpleStride Committee to execute a successful PurpleStride. The ideal volunteer for this role is a strong communicator with a passion for relationship-building! Training will be provided.

PanCAN volunteers raise funds and awareness year-round to support research and clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy, and community engagement work. Our volunteers support us in a number of capacities, including social media, public awareness campaigns, fundraising, event planning, and government advocacy.

We need you because pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers; the five-year survival rate is only 11%. It is currently the third leading cause of all cancer-related death in the US. We need people like you to help us create a world where all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
